Un-archiving the glFusion Distribution
To un-archive a .gz file, you can use recent versions of WinRAR or 7-Zip. If you are running Mac OSX, please ensure you have the latest version of StuffIt installed as previous versions have had difficulty properly un-archiving .tar.gz files. For Linux/Unix users, use the standard
tar command to extract the .tar.gz distribution.
You should extract the files to a temporary directory on your local workstation. We’ll upload these later to your web host.
glFusion is distributed as both a TAR.GZ archive and a ZIP archive. Generally, Unix / Linux users will want to download the TAR.GZ archive and Windows or OS X will download the .zip archive.
Unix / Linux / OS X Users .tar.gz
Probably all of you can use the following:
tar -xzvf glfusion-1.6.6.tar.gz
This will extract the tarball into a sub directory named

To extract the archive you need an extraction tool. There are hundreds of different programs available and there is a good chance that you already have one. If not, here is a short selection:
Use your tool of choice to un-archive the glfusion-1.6.6.tar.gz or glfusion-1.6.6.zip file to a sub-directory on your local workstation.
