Issue Tracker

Features / Issue Tracker

To ensure that any feature requests or bug reports are never forgotten, the glFusion Team has deployed a Bug / Feature Tracking system.  Here you can open tickets on bugs and or features.  We still prefer to use the support forums for most support items, but when there is a bug or a new feature request, opening a ticket in the glFusion Tracker will ensure that we do not overlook the issue and that it will be addressed.

Common Troubleshooting Tips

If you run into problems when using any gl Labs projects, there are a few standard troubleshooting items you should perform to help isolate the problem:

Check your web server’s error log
One of the first places to look for detailed error messages is in the web server’s error log. Depending on your hosting environment or your hosting service, how you do this varies. Many hosting services will actually place an error_log file in each of the directories that run PHP code. For more information on where this log resides, please contact your hosting provider.

Check your glFusion error.log
glFusion maintains its own error file, which is located in the private/logs/ directory. Depending on the type of problem you are having there may be more detailed information in this file.

Turn on Verbose Logging in Plugins
Media Gallery does a very good job of logging its steps as it attempts to process images, etc. By turning on Verbose Logging, it will log much more detail which may help diagnose a problem. These messages are logged to the glFusion error.log file mentioned above. CAPTCHA also has a debug setting in the configuration options.

Search the Support Forums
There is a very good history of issues and resolutions in the support forums at the glFusion website. Check and see if there have been others with a similar problem. If not, please post your problem there and it will be addressed as quickly as possible.

Search Google
When it comes to issues, chances are someone else has already dealt with the same issue. If you get an error message from your server, or any other type of problem for that matter, head on over to Google and do a quick search. You'll be surprised at the wealth of knowledge that is out there. It just takes a little effort to look.
